Make cleaning your shotgun barrels simple and hassle-free with Britbore Mops. Expertly crafted in the UK from high-quality wool felt, these disposable and biodegradable mops offer a quick and effective solution after a day in the field.
20 mops per box, available in 12 and 20 gauge sizes to fit your shotgun perfectly. With Britbore Mops, maintaining your gun has never been easier – transforming cleaning from a chore into a seamless part of your shooting routine.
A pack of 20 Britbore Mops gives you up to 10 full cleans. Each clean uses 2 mops - the first removes fouling, moisture, and residue, while the second finishes the barrel and comes out much cleaner. That cleaner second mop can then be reused as the first mop on your next clean, reducing waste and giving consistent results, which is how 20 mops comfortably delivers 10 end-of-day barrel cleans.
Spray solvent or cleaner into the bores, then roll a Britbore Mop between your fingers and push it through each barrel using a cleaning rod with a firm twisting motion. Expect some resistance as they’re designed for a tight fit. Repeat with a fresh mop if needed, then lightly spray gun oil into each barrel and push the final mop through again to leave a thin protective coating.
Britbore Mops work best when used with a bore solvent or cleaner to loosen and remove fouling, followed by a light gun oil to protect the barrels. The solvent helps lift residue and moisture during cleaning, while a final pass with a lightly oiled mop leaves a thin protective coating inside the bore to help prevent corrosion between uses.
